2025 – 2026 Windhover Foundation Scholarship Program

The online Windhover Foundation Scholarship application for the 2025 – 2026 academic year is now open!

The Windhover Foundation Scholarship program provides nearly $400,000 in scholarship funds for higher education to dependents of qualified Quad employees. Funds can be used to support students in two-year, four-year, vocational or technical school programs.

Program details

  • 120 students chosen for the Windhover Foundation Scholarship will receive a $3,000 scholarship.

  • Two applicants enrolled in a vocational or technical school will receive a $15,000 scholarship.

Program timeline

  • Application Open: Jan. 13, 2025

  • Application Deadline: March 7, 2025

  • Recommendation Form Deadline: March 14, 2025
  • Notification of Selection Results: End of June 2025
  • Funds Disbursed: End of July 2025

To qualify for a Windhover Foundation Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be an unmarried dependent of a full-time Quad employee who has worked at Quad for at least three years prior to July 1, 2025, and whose base salary does not exceed a predetermined amount

  • Have graduated high school by May/June 2025

  • Plan to pursue post-secondary education on a full-time basis beginning in the fall of 2025

  • Maintain a set GPA of 2.5

  • Have not already graduated with a bachelor’s degree

  • Not have a parent on the Windhover Foundation’s board of directors or scholarship selection committee

  • Have not already reached the maximum number of awards (applicants may receive up to five awards)

Administration of the program process

To maintain a high level of professionalism and security, the program is administered by International Scholarship and Tuition Services, Inc. (ISTS), an independent company that specializes in managing sponsored educational assistance programs.

To apply:

  • Open a new browser and enter this web address: https://aim.applyists.net/Windhover
  • Sign in (you will need to set up an account)
  • Click ‘Add New Application’
    • To access the Windhover Foundation portal, enter Program Key: Windhover

What’s needed to apply?

The following is needed to complete the online application:

  • Estimated school costs (e.g., tuition, books, housing and transportation)
  • Resume
  • Most recent school transcript — unofficial transcript is preferred.
  • Written essay — applicants are required to write a 300-word response to the following question: Pick an experience from your own life and explain how it has influenced your development.
  • 2025/2026 FAFSA Student Aid Report
  • One letter of recommendation:
    • Applicants are required to enter the email address of the individual they are seeking a recommendation from
    • The recommendation should come from someone that can speak to the applicant’s academic record and/or progress
      • Acceptable and preferred: professor, teacher, advisor, counselor, coach or employer

Please note: Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

The online application will close when 300 completed applications are received, or on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 5 p.m. CT, whichever comes first.

Windhover Scholarships are available to the children of eligible Quad employees. Funded by members of the Quadracci family in partnership with Quad, they are tax-free to the recipient and can be used to help pay for tuition, books and fees at any accredited educational institution. Students must apply for the scholarship each year.
